So I suppose in a word 'no' I cannot answer the question, except where they are indicated with a Gothic lc H. Chris |

Its an interesting question, the "blazer" appears to have begun with rowers from Oxford and Cambridge and moved on through other sports and countries to become a general semi formal piece of fashion wear, Hunting Pinks predate this by quite a long time, but not all huntsmen wear Pinks so maybe they wear blazers too?
Is the question actually how many Regiments and Corps had their own pack of Hounds for Hunting? Rob |

I thought the web page explained clearly that wearing hunt buttons is a privilege one has to earn - like club or gang colours. One doesn’t just buy a horse, jacket and buttons from ebay and rock up at the local hunt without earning some disapproval, any more than one turns up at the local biker bar wearing colours one isn’t entitled to (although the local hunt is unlikely to take you out of the back of aforesaid bar for a good kicking).

Older copies of the Bailys Hunting Directory might prove useful and I know there’s Military Hunt buttons illustrated in Gwen Squire’s button book for collectors.

Thank you all for replying.
Just now I went through the images of the Pitt sample book (ca. 1900 - 1960) which was broken up and sold off in 2009. I found over 60 flat military buttons. Not a single one was listed as hunt, some are service dress and most are listed as blazer. To me it seems that buttons ordered as blazer buttons may have been used as military hunt buttons. I do not know how many military hunts with their own pack have existed. I also do not know if officers hunting as members of private packs used their military blazer buttons. I'll go through my hunt button books later to find military hunt buttons. |

Yes I will list the buttons that I am aware of. I do have an old Baily's Directory somewhere - although it may take some time to find.
