Default 14th (Aberdare) Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers.

Afternoon.

Nice cabinet photo c1875.

Description being : Full dress uniform of a colour sergeant (David Walters) of the 14th Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers Corps (Aberdare) about 1875.
Scarlet, Black facings, Black belt with shako head dress. Snider rifle.

Full sgt three stripes to left arm but only one to right arm (large bullion badge above).

Have attached copy of o/r's plate (he seems to be wearing a superior plate possibly officers version).
