I believe it is State Enrolled Assistant Nurse introduced ww2

The State Enrolled Assistant Nurse (SEAN) was first statutorily recognised by the Nurses Act of 1943.

The General Nursing Council dropped the "assistant" in 1961 when the grade was renamed State Enrolled Nurse.
