10th Gurkha Drum - 1950's not WW1 !
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-GURKH...item35dfcccf5d
Described as "rare WW1 drum" but dates to the late 1950's ! I've pointed out to the seller that the 10th didn't receive the title "Princess Mary's Own" until 1950, and that the other give away is WW2 battle honours plus Suez Canal! Also the condition report says "Generally VGC with some areas near fine " - the photo's suggest otherwise! I'm sure the description has been designed to decieve the unwary. |

Suez Canal is a WW1 battle honour mate. The battle honour for the 1950's campaign is simply "Suez".
That said, the use of the Princess Mary title is worrying.

If that's thought to be 'fine' ... I'll drop my trousers in Marks and Spencers ! It's in a pretty poor state.
