Default RWAFF cap badges

Good afternoon gentlemen,
I recently purchased a cap badge on Ebay which is a plastic economy variant, when I opened the package and saw the badge I instantly thought this is an economy collar badge, so I was not happy , am I correct in thinking this,
Below I have included some pictures showing part of a horde I was lucky enough to find and you can see the plastic cap badge with actual collar dogs for comparison,

The plastic cap badge is collar sized so yours is correct.

I'm sure that the cap badge size was reduced in WW2, the plastic one is for the cap

I am looking at Peter Doyles photo of Captain David Jowetts slouch hat where he has one attached , i suppose it looks the same ,
Did these small cap badges double up as collar badges as well?
