I wonder who will be collecting this militaria? As in "I have the first gay pride flag flown at NDHQ". Wonder what it will be worth in 50 years?

I suspect that the bakery could well have gone broke in the south east of England. Some of the posts in this thread are like talking to my grandfather, and he has been dead 47 years.

I am suggesting that decent people who work hard to earn their living, whether Christian or any or no religion, should have the right to refuse to serve anyone whose order is contrary to their sincerely held faith. There is something wrong with the system if they finish up before the courts for doing what they believe to be right. Are you suggesting that there are no decent people prepared to support hard working people if they are victimised in the South East England? Perhaps in your Grandfather's day, 47+ years ago, people knew the difference between right and wrong and did not simply turn a blind eye! |

Practicing Christians are a minority, and these Christian bakers are a minority of a minority. They have outdated views that they claim come from the Bible. As we all know you can find anything you want in the Bible. One Christian sect even found something telling them to be against blood transfusions. At least one lot found something against smoking and many found against drinking, even though Jesus himself is said to have turned water in to wine. In the meanwhile, mainstream and modern Christianity has far less of a problem with homosexuality than the makers of fairy cakes. Are they allowed to use that term? There are plenty of openly Gay Bishops. This is only wiki, but you get my point: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_bishops I only hope your mates in the bakery never find out about the Bishop of Stockholm: http://www.breitbart.com/london/2015...-prayer-space/ Lets face it,for the majority of people in the west the world has moved on. The views your bakers hold are minority views in the church, let alone in society as a whole. The armed forces have moved on too. About the only places these ideas would be mainstream today are black Africa and the middle east where homosexuals are routinely imprisoned, if lucky, and killed, if not so lucky. I can't believe I am writing this stuff about the church and homosexuality, neither thing I have any time for. I was going to say timewarp, but decided not to go there.

I think it is wrong to treat homosexials as special people and it is wrong to have openly gay people serving in the armed forces.
Lets face it,for the majority of people in the west the world has moved on.. Does that mean that you think it is a better world with better moral standards? Enjoy the rest of your rant. Eddie |
