Default Bodmin Naval Prison buttons

Good evening

Not really my area of collecting, but I was recently offered these so decided they'd be of use somewhere along the line:

Jacket and cuff button from the former Bodmin Naval Prison which was located in a wing of Bodmin Goal between 1887 and 1922 - they are KC so date from c.1901 until 1922 - and are both made by Firmin.

Bodmin Jail was situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor and the building still stands today: https://www.google.co.uk/…/@50.47485.../data=!3m1!1e3

Hope they are of interest

Graham

Graham,

Thanks for showing, haven't seen these before. Visited the Gaol a few years back, very impressive building imho.

I don't collect Naval Buttons but I would have picked these up to put with my interesting buttons. Thanks for showing.
