Capt.J.Reid,104th Westminster Fusiliers

Originated 1 April 1910 in New Westminster, British Columbia as the 104th Regiment. Redesignated 15 December 1913 as the 104th Regiment Westminster Fusiliers of Canada. Amalgamated 12 March 1920 with the 6th Regiment "The Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles" to form the 1st British Columbia Regiment. Redesignated 1 November 1920 the 1st British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own). Reorganized 15 May 1924 into three separate regiments: the 1st British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own) (now the British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own); The Vancouver Regiment (now The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own); and The Westminster Regiment.
