Winged Crowned Skull Bullion Blazer Patch

This may not be Military, but I am keen to find out what it is. The inscription states " Vardum Ad Portus Inferi". With a Crowned and Winged Skull, plus Crossed Swords. Any thoughts welcome, regards, Clive.

The inscription seems to be taken from Hezekiah's hymn (Jes. 38, 10-20).

Thank you Luc, wonder if this patch is religious. I have owned it for years, but have never been able to find out what it represents. It is an interesting design, but what for? Kind regards, Clive.

hi clive,

have tried to find motto through goggle and all i get is a ref like luc to a hymn and "hannibal at the gates of rome"

i wonder if this a italian college with military links??
