Default RNWMP

Does anybody know what a brass shoulder title in the above lettering would relate to?
Posted this in the mystery section but wondered if the RN related to Royal Navy then somebody in this section might know

I would think it is Royal North West Mounted Police.

Default Cheers

I saw the one in Ebay but had also seen one recently in a little antique shop (well - more of a junk shop really). It was the only military item I could find in there from an hour long search.
I wondered whether it could be something to do with the Navy and when I saw it again on Ebay thought I'd ask just in case I draw attention to it for those who want RN items

Thanks for the prompt info guys - much appreciated
Ray
