Hi everyone, could I get some opinions on this plate please? Thanks.

Hi, looking at the back, the colour, no damage, the pins , all sound alarm bells to me.
Bell tops plates have been copied, the national army museum sold a Norfolk one a few years ago |

For a plate of this period I would expect to see a clear demarcation of the fire gilding from the front where it should just finish around the rim of the back of the plate. The back of this plate not only doesn’t show that, but it is just too clean in general. I would also expect some fixing wires to be in position to the back of the crown & there don’t ever appear to have been any.

Its a reproduction, 100%, wrong in all respects as per previous posts.

The lion appears to have lost half his back leg.
