No idea but many units possibly amalgamated/disbanded before issue. Also, existing stocks of GM and WM badges would have been used up first. Official info on numbers manufactured very hard to find - and I have looked! Regards Chris |

To be honest I feel for the collectors who are being charged such savage prices for a single badge but, if it makes a collection a better investment, then why not?

[QUOTE=hagwalther;275810]Hi William,
Forget about the first two but South Staffordshire [Tudor] was officially authorised - example on page 270 of your copy of book. Derbyshire Yeomanry did get a CB. No of 3172 but went no further. 1st Rifle Volunteers Royal Devon Yeomanry - prototype at best; fantasy at worse. I go for the latter. Regard This was only in for a short time in 1957 according to a Capt in the TA unit |

Hi Chris,
As a Clifton-dweller, I'd love to hear how you are sure there was only ever one CCF badge ever made? A friend at work's two sons go to Clifton College and I'm slightly embarrassed to admit I've yet to try to scrounge any badges off them. Thanks, David. |

Doh! No idea why I read it as I did.
There are plenty of Old Cliftonians around here so perhaps I'll dig one up one day. |

The Clifton cadet is clearly wearing the QRL badge - no red backing though. I suspect that no Direct Entry QRL officer has ever come from the Midlands! Alan |
