Cambridgeshire Regiment
Hi, Folks, two variations in the Cambridgeshire badges here. Can anybody see any issues with either of them ?
I would welcome any opinions. Thanks. |

Cambridgeshire Regiment
Two original Cambridgeshire Regiment cap badges IMO, the first I think is probably WWII manufacture, the one without the "E" appeared early in WWII while the 1st Btn were at Weeting Hall in Norfolk and after complaints were collected and issued to the Home Guard, not all were handed back as a dig in Adam Park, Singapore where the 1st Btn were ordered to surrender on 15th February turned one up.

From the photographs I don't think I would be happy with either of those, in particular, the first example which appears to be brand new.

I think the badges have been cleaned Frank. All of the badges that came in this auction lot have been cleaned.

Cambridgeshire Regt badges
I think living in Cambridgeshire I am used to seeing these badges and very often they are in excellent condition, little polishing, no wear as they were never worn by regular units.
