Default Early Cartridge Box Badge - Artillery? Need help

Its a longshot but I'm hoping someone can help me identify this badge. I'm quite certain it dates to the late 1700's or early 1800's but I don't know what regiment it's associated with. It looks similar to the early artillery cypher.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked everywhere

Dont agree with GRiffMJ, it looks more like an "A" flanked by mirrored "R"s.

Rgds,

Thomas.

I'm with Thomas on this one, A with mirrored Rs, but it looks like there is a V in the centre too. AV with mirrored Rs.

Your V is part of both Rs.
