Dodgy 'T' titles
Whilst having my usual scan through the internet auction sites for East Surrey items I stumbled across a T/5/E Surrey title from a 'dealer' who can be found by typing in the title name and number. The shape of the numbers raises alarm bells to me and not just the 5 in the particular title I was perusing.
I may be right, I may be wrong but, as I was advised 20yrs ago and I would advise ANY collector, new or 'old' if you are not sure don't buy. I wouldn't buy these items... |

I dont think any serious collector would buy from that vendor.

Dodgy titles
He usually also does his items in solid silver as well. Badges are not any better than Titles.
Have always avoided buying his items. Rgds, Eddie |

Hi Matti,
I believe that this seller has a big shed and all his stuff is knocked up in it for the "souvenir" market. Ok for the odd gap filler I suppose but the shame of it is that in the future these items are bound to find their way into collections only to be considered genuine. Regards Ry |

Agree with Ry, whilst the number of genuine items available to collectors gets smaller all the time as items are added to collections and which may not come back onto the market for many years, the amount of dubious items in existance is getting bigger all the time.
The problem comes when a collector has a collection of some genuine items and some non genuine ones, with the passage of time the whole collection achieves an aura of authenticity. Adding to what Keith says, I also try and keep a mental note of items that suddenly appear on a number of dealers web sites or on E bay at around the same time. P.B.

I won the bet with myself, I knew it would be him. He drives me up the wall with his hundreds of fakes, listed over and over again. Hes deliberately misleading by not giving essential information. I had the same thought about his shed.

Well folks, at nearly 15,000 items sold, he must be making a living
Of the items currently on offer, there is nothing that even appears to be a "good" fake. Have ignored him from outset. I wish there was a way of "excluding" certain sellers when searching etc. Cheers, Neil |

Hi Neil, Not knowing who the seller is you don't buy from, but you can make a list of trusted sellers and under the saved searches it can be setup to search and show you the items they have.
not being an expert on the EBay search system but it might help to skip the ones you don't want to see. Derrick.

Hi, I jusr took a quick look at the 'EBay advanced search' (see picture). All it needs is someone to try it out by adding ebay ID's to Exclude from the search. Derrick.
