Tony,
it will be an officers badge, as they are an "Officer Only" organisation.

Andy

Is it for sale?

Default ETS

Is this an official badge? I only ask because I was in the AG Corps (ETS) (V) for five years after leaving the Regular Army and wore the AG Corps beret badge (purchased at Worthy Down the day they took me on).

I believe it was also worn in a black beret, but now replaced by an embroidered badge, also with the reintroduction of the RAEC stable belt, and similar collar badges to the cap badges.

Badges shown are beret and cap.

AGC PRI sell the bullion badge

http://shopagc.org/index.php?manufacturers_id=13

Beret is Dark Navy, but they wear beret of formation if different.

The metal cap & collar badges are issued.

I am current ETS and that is the badge we wear in our No 1 cap. It was also in our SD brown caps but we no longer wear them it's either side hat or beret.

Regards

Mike

Default ETS

I have the following ETS bullion badges. I believe it also is in Minerva blue. Here is navy blue for regular berets, maroon for para and the last is described as rifle green which I assume would be used for commando.

Default ETS officer's beret badge

Rifle green backing would be for rifle regiments rather than commandos, as the 'Schoolies' in the Commando Brigade are provided by the Royal Navy, not the Army.

Cheers Colin, My thought was that ETS would be looking after the RE, RA, RLC etc within the Commando brigade.

You could be right if each unit has a permanently assigned ETS officer but I believe there is a pool of Navy education officers who are assigned to Commando units on a temporary basis as needed. Certainly, the marine units have RN schoolies.

However, I have been wrong before..........
