Help with what I think is a Navy flag
Hi
I picked up this flag this morning and it seems very interresting and I am wondering it has some relevance to the Royal Navy due the flags shown on the one panel but haven't seen anything like it and am hoping that someone on the forum can help. I would welcome and appreciate any advice or help. Best wishes Rob |

Hi
That is not a Naval Flag. I think it is something home made, possibly for a coronation or jubilee. A lot of work seems to have gone into it but perhaps not as much research as necessary. It's hard to know with the side that has four union flags, which way up it is supposed to be. If the top is to the left of the picture three of them may be OK but the top left one is wrongly drawn. The broad white band is the wrong side of the red one in its upper corner (at the hoist). If the hoist is towards the photographer with the top on the right then the other three appear to be the right way up. The one which is reproduced with the Royal Banners is clearly upside down.
