Default FAA KC red on black Pilot wing

I recently received this FAA KC wing amongst a small lot.

Whether authentic or not I haven't a clue; I would ask more enlightened members for their opinions.

It measures just over 3 1/4" (85mm) wide.

It is flat and quite stiff.

Regards,

Graham

2WW Fleet Air Arm Rating Pilot. I no longer have one to compare it and thus authenticate it, hence not certain if it is genuine.

The Rating Pilots badges have patterns numbers of
Gold - pattern 94. (which are different from the officers' badge)
Red - pattern 94A.
Blue - pattern 94B.

Printed badges were also produced.

Gold badges were worn by ratings on the right cuff.
Red and blue badges were worn on the right cuff by CPO's and on the right upper arm by Other Ratings.
