Default embroidered white PofW feathers on red backing

I can't find this in Linaker & Dine so not a cavalry arm badge?, though it is a large size

It appears to have some age to it, judging by the reverse and the overall tone.
If not an arm badge, perhaps a Pagri flash? Very nice, whatever it is.

Cb, thanks for replying and on another site someone has suggest FS helmet badge as you did.

It came with this gilded collar badge to sweetheart brooch conversion. It was strictly speaking sold on its own, but they both came from the same seller and they were the only items of this type he had for sale. He had other military badges for sale but all fairly modern and these stood out and were listed at the same time
