Hello trevor,
The badge is genuine, But the price was a bit over the top!
personally i would pay £15/£20 for a MGC badge

just enhanced the only picture
i have at the moment

do you know is it metal

i am new to badges

was thinking of buying cap badges to go with the ww1 medals
i have,
but not sure after reading about the fakes etc

does anyone know what they were made of

i dont want to clean it
looks better uncleaned

I can remember when they were £2.50p, I certainly would not want to pay more than £25 these day, they remain common badges.

It is made of what is known as gilding metal which is an alloy of copper and zinc. Most people just think of it as brass really. That particular badge looks as though it has been artificially aged to me.

as i thought 31.00 was not bad !!!!!
