24th Guards Brigade with 6th SA Armoured Division
Between May 1944 and February 1945 the 24th Guards Independent Brigade Group served under the command of 6th South African Armoured Division in Italy.
As an Independent Brigade Group they were entitled to their own sign, the well-known red wing on blue but did they at any time wear the triangle of the Armoured Division in any form? Jon |

Indeed they did.
A photo of some Grenadiers appeared in, I think, Vogue. The two signs were worn together.

This short piece in a 1946 SA produced book supports the wearing of the 6th SAAD formation badge as well as well.
