Nice one Garry. I've one from Ilorin - I'm away to the 'Mean City' shortly, so I'll post it tomorrow.

Hi Garry & Graham,
I have always rather liked British Colonial Badges generally and specifically badges from the African colonies. There were many units and consequently many badges so the chances of having an example of every one is rather remote (practically impossible ?)
Here are pics of the little Native Administration that have come my way - I'm guessing that there are plenty more.
Regards
Mike

Hi Leigh,

Not Police as such. This would have been worn by a member of the Native Courts system; if you like an old fashioned colonial justice system for the local population and the members were appointed by the British governor. Sarawak (Malaysia) still runs the Native Courts system!

Hi Gents,

Wonderful to see these badges, thanks for sharing.

I know absolutely nothing about this topic but must confess to having a soft spot for Colonial badges in general, so very much enjoyed seeing these.

Cheers, Roy.

Greetings Gents. You may wish to look at this website on Rhodesia's Native Administration system and its uniformed / armed element. http://www.freewebs.com/dudleywall/ If you hover the curser on the right side of the pull out menu further pages will appear on some of them. Includes insignia equipment and more.
Regards
Dudley

I have two unidentified buttons which may have belonged to this administration. Does anyone recognise them?
