It was worn in Carpathian Uhlans Regiment (cavalry unit) - Pulk Ulanow Karpackich (PUK).
PUK was a part of Carpathian Rifles Indpendent Brigade during campaign in North Africa. Later became a part of 3rd Carpathian Rifles Division of 2nd Polish Corps (Italian campaign).
This badge was worn on red/blue cavalry pennons.
