Leeds Pals Sweetheart Brooch.
How about this folks a full sized Leeds Pals Cap badge turned into an enamelled sweetheart Brooch. Lovely item.

Yorkie,
I can only echo the other comments and say that is an excellent badge, has the reverse had a pin fixing attached or is it untouched please? Simon. |

The badge was brooched and enamelled by a person. The pin is still attached to the badge but the whole catch plate is missing. One can only speculate as to why it was done, but I assume it was the wife or girlfriend of a Leeds Pal lost on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
