Short form of sterling silver - "STG SILV". Beyond that its hard to make out the other letters/symbols.

The hallmark on the shoulder title is most probably: Egyptian. Regards, Zob. Last edited by zob; 10-07-14 at 09:45 PM. Reason: Typo |

G'day bc
Thanks for posting these little gems. Could we have photos of the fronts as well please. Is this a collar size or a hat size ? I have 2 silver pin backed nurses collar sized badges, one is hallmarked B'ham 1916 and the other is just marked Stg Sil with no nakers mark. I assume its Aussie made. Sorry I dont have them at the momemt they are on display at a museum. Yours could well be theatre made and we did have nurses in Egypt. Regards Phil. |
