Question Silver hallmarks

HI, I am looking for some information on a silver west riding capbadge I have just bought on eBay it is the type with the lion holding the pennant etc.
the makers mark is GB in a box with like a v top and bottom in the middle of the initials. [I hope that does make sense to you].
The hallmark is ancher/lion with raised front paw/letter S.
Could anyone with knowledge of these things please try and date the badge for me. I appreciate any help you can give me to date this item. Regards Andy.

Default SILVER HALLMARK

Yours could be 1917, 1942 or 1967. This all depens on the style of the letter "S"

Default Hallmarked Silver West Riding Rgt.

Good afternoon.
It certainly isn`t 1917, or 1942, and I`ll be surprised if it is not considerably newer than 1967.
Enjoy.
ST.
By the way, and I ask this merely out of idle curiosity, why did you buy the item in question.

I think Yorkie's user name may be a clue.
