Default Unknown badge possible African.?

Had this a while now but haven't a clue what it is as if came in a job lot. Any suggestions.

Worn by these brave men whose forefathers distinguished themselves in Burma in WW2 and the Malayan Emergency.

By the end of 1978, the entire regiment was para trained and regularly jumped into contacts as part of Fireforce.

There were at least two other silk patches like yours with 1 RAR and 2 RAR embroidered on the bottom under the scroll for the shield.
