Question re 72nd Hampshire Yeomanry Badge
I am wanting to get a WW2 72nd Hampshire Yeomanry cap badge, which continued to be worn after they became an AA unit. I am confused as to what badge I am actually wanting because I have found them in multiple forms - all brass, all white metal, and several different versions in brass and white metal.
Which is correct? My copy of Doyle and Foster (top page 60) describes it as a brass badge, so wonder if that is what I should pursue? Although the picture is in color in this book it's hard to tell if it is all brass or mixed. Thanks for any help here, Terry |

Thank you gentlemen! How can I tell a good one from a bad one, as I have found lots. Some are so bad there is no doubt, but others I am not sure of?
Anybody have a spare? Terry |

I have found a badge I like, but am not sure it's a good one. It's all brass and shows signs of wear at the crown and the two side edges of the scroll. That all seems fine. What worries me is that several of the letters from the front have little soft nubs on them. Is that a give away it's a fake, or could it still be OK?
Thanks, Terry |
