Default Slouch Hat Badge Question?

I have an Australian Army felt slouch hat, which I have had since around 1988. I would like to put the correct insignia on it for an Infantryman in the Royal Australian Regiment. It did originally have the rising sun badge on the rim (which somebody persuaded me to part with long ago), but can anyone tell me what type for the time period, would it be The Australian Army or Australian Military Forces? additionally, would the RAR badge be worn on the front on the puggeree band? Lastly, whatever insignia is correct, where can I get them from without paying the £20+ for the badge and £19+ postage as with Ebay?

Tony

Hi Tony
This is my Aussie slouch hat badged to the 5th battalion RAR of the currant time period, photos for your reference.
The RAR skippy badges are hard to find but you can try these sellers

I will look into what version of the rising sun is correct for your time period

I might have the insignia you are chasing.

Will check when I get home later today.
