Question Royal Artillery QVC cap badge

A friend of mine has told me he saw a Royal Artillery cap badge with a QVC. I told him IMO that such an item was never worn, however, he said it sold for over £100 and must be correct.

I think I am correct, but I may be totally wrong.

I have seen one but the thing was a fake with the crown added to a K/C badge. A fantasy badge that was not worn as the full sized badge came with the new caps after the K/C was introduced.

There was one mentioned on the forum a little while back - QVC crown attached to a previously Kings Crown badge.
" It cost a lot of money, it must be genuine" - that's right up there with "I read it in the newspapers, it must be true".

Hope it wasn’t your friend that bought it!

It was a forgery made from a genuine WW2 era Canadian RA cap badge which the crown cut off and a QVC crown from a fake Royal Irish Regiment cap badge skilfully attached.

Someone wasted £100.

Cool QVC fake

Thanks chaps for adding the links, absolutely crazy price for a complete fake, no, my friend did not buy it, but what I find hard to comprehend is why these people pay a fortune for junk.

I put original badges on ebay and nobody bids, mind you mine are not "lovely"

I let eBay know about this FAKE, so if it was your mate that brought it. Just remind them that it was reported as a FAKE, numerous times.
