Default 96 Foot Regiment

I know this badge has been done to death
I have one in my collection .
Just to make sure does anyone know if it's a fake .
I can then either cherish it or put it to bed .
Thanks
Spencer

The bubbles and pitting on the 96 numerals tell you that the badge was struck
from an old rusty die.So a restrike Im afraid.
