Default Royal Engineers
I have noticed on the crown of my ROYAL ENGINEERS badge is a fault . Slight miss stamp which I have highlighted on the picture . This makes me believe this badge is probably a restrike . Anyone else have any thoughts on this badge ?

That style of Gaunt stamp is the subject of a thread elsewhere. It has not to my knowledge ever been found on a genuine badge but does appear with alarming regularity on a certain couple of ebay sellers lists.

I guessed as much . The badge with that fault just can't be original .
