Nicely done Tim Thanks, I will pass the info onto Peter J for you as he is no longer on the forum.

Another Woodward East Surreys economy, just with the markings running the other way along the slider.

I would point out that the Rydall Woodward badges are all modern fakes. I have seen a genuine Rydall badge and that was unmarked. It was a very small shortlived OTC and the badges are very scarce until a few years ago when a load of mint Woodward ones suddenly appeared in large numbers.

Default Woodward South Nottinghamshire Hussars

Hi all,

Appreciate the views of fellow members on this Woodward marked South Nottinghamshire Hussars badge. The crimping and lettering look good to me and marked in the opposite orientation but this has been noted on some genuine examples for other regiments.

Best regards Dean

It’s genuine Dean and mark on my two run the same way.

Your badge appears to have been repaired, looks like the acorn has come off at some point. You can see it looks very globby front and back at the attachment points of the leaf and stalk.

One of mine below.

Yes an old repair to it thanks Luke. A good match to yours and a couple of other Woodward marked badges I have. Thanks for confirming, cheers Dean

For interest, a Woodword without the makers mark on the slider.

Distinctive slider with that shape and deep crimp mark. Thanks for sharing, cheers Dean
