Julian
look for the medal index card for Arthur Cyril Langston Hardman-Jones. He served in France with the 1st Battalion from 13/8/14. He finished WW1 as a Major (Temp Lt Col) and at the time he applied for his WW1 medals his address was shown as Guadaloupe Barracks at Bordon in Hampshire. His son was killed in action during WW2 as a Commander in the Royal Navy. Both father and son were mentioned in despatches during their war service. Lt Col Hardman-Jones died 26/8/1965. Hope that helps regards PL |
