second one looks to be same re-strike as john from Aston did from mid 70's until present, slider same type he's used. either dipped in the gun blueing solution or slow baked with gunk. was from the original die so i could easily be wrong, the other two look totally pucker. be nice to have one never mind two! donate one to the forum! check mikes classified ad update thread. hope this helps, and just an opinion, cheers, martin

hi jon,

the chin on minevera in the 3rd pic looks al wrong to me,jutting out to much.

the slider on pic 6 looks to have a gaunt.london marking.i understand that that odd dot between gaunt and london is wrong but stand to be proved wrong by more expert people on here.

Hi Jon
I was under the impression that Jennens only made officers badges, which would make an OR's badge with a Jennens marked slider questionable.
Cheers,
Alex

alright jon, just had a look at the other two. gonna see if me pa still has a repro one to compare strikes first and will post pics if he has before 'judgement' but patina on both looks forced.
excuse me being a bit rusty but was the small 'artists' originally issued in brass then?
best, martin
