Default 21st Lancers Sudan Plate

Morning Gents
I have for some time wondered about this plate its origins and wear and found nothing. All I know the Officers were so excited to receive there first battle honour these plates were ordered and made , However not for the other ranks ?.
Its pictured in David Rowes book, but again that dose not mean its right. Has any one got a picture of this plate in wear or any information on its order construction delivery dates ect ect . Will be at the Regimental Museum next week so any information to help in the hunt would be greatly received.
I am not dishing the plate I would like some concrete facts on it .
