Who knew
Almost every Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery is on land given by the host country to the Commonwealth in perpetuity. If we follow the line set in this article the British also own bits of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Libya, Turkey, China, India...
Very nice to see that those who gave their lives are still honoured though, whatever country they rest in. Stephen. |
