A Serjeant known as a “Schoolie” particularly attached to the Battalion to provide education for the boy soldiers. There seem to be quite a few in that excellent photograph.

I have a group of medals to a guy who, inter-war, spent a long time in India and landed in France (D + 6) and may have been involved in the interrogation of members of the SS Freies Indien group. Refer my post way back for the Bevo weave patch that came with his group.

His number indicates Artillery but his "long gong" (aka "the medal for undetected crime") is to the Army Education Corps.
