Help with SA Artillery
Hi all,
Doing a bit of a cleanup and found this badge that was given to me in the early 80's. It is brass/gilt with two screws/bolts on the back. Going through Andrews book it could either be no 893 (Gunnery Instructors Proficiency badge), but then I would expect it to have pins and was a gilt badge ever used. Or it could be the bottom of the badge in 242 (Transvaal State Artillery) which would explain the screws. Any ideas. Size is 5cm l-r and 1.5cm t-b. Have a great weekend. Neville

Hi Neville
Yes, it's the bottom half of the Transvaal State Artillery badge, shown upside down. Cheers, Alex |

Gunnery Instructors Proficiency badge in my collection has 4 pins on rear.
Screw back would I suspect make it TSA, as Alex said. Brian |
