Default 88 Brigade, 29th Division Badges

Evening All!

Does anyone have a clue as to what (if, indeed, any!) badge would have been worn on the sun helmet pagri / pugaree of the of the 5th (Territorial) Battalion (Queen's Edinburgh Rifles) (88 Bde, 29th Div) in Gallipoli?

Any clues gratefully appreciated! Cheers!

Hi Queen's Edinburgh,

just a comment re the 5th's head wear. As far as I know, at the landing all the units of the 29th Division were wearing the standard peaked service cap, rather than the sun helmet, though many of these were issued later in the campaign.

Cheers
Bill
