For some reason I can't find my photo of a Para in UN beret without maroon badge backing. I've just had another search, no joy.
It's adrift somewhere amongst thousand of photos and slides in the process of being scanned on to computer. |

I am sure the GH wore it before the 1970s as I remember my brother having one on his beret when he was attached to them.
