The story of London's River Police since 1798.
I would like to recommend the above book, to anybody with an interest in the Metpol, wartime London or river policing in general. A very easy, informative read and quite well illustrated. The history is up to the late 1990s. Phil

I knew Geoff when he was an Inspector. His hobby was knots and knotting. He was something of an expert and consulted over hangings and murders. Bit of useless info for you.
