Hi Mike, I have got my hands on a button made by the Army & Navy Coop Society Ltd. So I am very chuffed. I will add it to the shoulder tab now. Have fun. Regards Andrew

Hi Andrew.....

Congrats..... I saw a couple of buttons on eBay a while back but was saving my money for something more important...... Which I was able to win at an auction......

Description from Catalogue:

"1899-1906 Canadian Scouts/Natal Rangers pair, to Trooper Richard S. Rutter who served in the Boer War 1899-1902 & the 1906 Zulu Rebellion.

Rutter died of tuberculosis in 1907.

Queen’s South Africa Medal 1899-1902, 4 clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal & South Africa 1902. “38388 TPR R.S. RUTTER. CANADIAN.SCTS” impressed.

Natal Rebellion Medal, clasp 1906. “PTE R.S. RUTTER. NATAL RANGERS” impressed.

Comes with a pr of hand cut. “Canadian Scouts titles very scarce. Sth African Constabulary badge & 200 x 150mm copy photo of Rutter in his Canadian Scouts uniform & buttons/badges. "

Has not arrived yet will post as soon as I get them...... Especially the pair of Canadian Scouts Titles..... That is all they wore as they did not have any cap badge only a Black Feather in their caps...... And the shoulder titles were not issued but had to be purchased by the men themselves so some had them some did not...... I do not know which SAC Cap badge it is but I hope that it is the Brass one as that is the only one I am missing.....

Mike

Hi Mike, It is good to know that you are stil picking up some nice pieces. I hope the SAC badge is the one you need. I am stil short of a few of the SAC badges including most of the SAC medic badges. Good hunting. Regards Andrew
