Default UNKNOWN CLOTH BADGES FOR EXPERT IDENTIFICATION PLEASE

I may have posted these previously. Just as a reminder, please look at the images and identify for me if you can; I would be most grateful. Does either have any significance for the British Forces? If they do I wll retain them, if not I intend to offload at some stage. Apolgies for the images but my aged grey cells prevent me from knowing how to cut the images down to size. Answers as and when please folks.

Size matters: Round 10cm. Other N-S 8.5cm E-W 7cm at the top

The circular one is Iraqi as it has their national flag within the outline of the country. Not sure what the writing says as I do not speak or read Arabic.

The words Allahu Akbar (God is Great) were added by Saddam Hussein prior to the start of the Gulf War. The intent was to improve an Islamic image, the three green stars which represented the objectives of Saddam Hussein's Baath party: unity, freedom and socialism.
At a ceremony on 28 June 2004 when the new interim government of Iraq was sworn into office, the stage was backed with a row of flags similar to the 1991 pattern, but wider, with the stars and the Arabic script more loosely spread across the width of the flag.

http://www.awm.gov.au/collection/REL34328/ may be of a little help?

The second one looks American to me?

The second one is tough alright. Could be American but the design doesn't strike me as typically American.

Been doing some digging and I can't find anything to do with the second patch at all...could it be a recently made airsoft patch or custom patch perhaps?

Hi,
The second badge looks like it might be a Greek badge.

Had a quick look here but could not spot it.

The badge on the left is an Iraqi Command patch not sure what the one on the right is but it is very similar in shape and colour to my Estonian Signals patch. Good luck!

Phil,
Thanks for that. It confirms Iraqi Army. I was told elsewhere that it was worn by some coalition forces who were training the Iraqi Army post war. The jury is still out on the second one.

Thanks to all who have taken the trouble to research and provide the information thus far.

Regards.

Marc,
VMT I have looked at Finnish Army site but no luck, however Finland certainly has a similar Lion with sword but over its shoulder. I am wondering if it was a Finnish Battalion arm badge from KFOR. I will give this a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
Martin.

Thanks Danny. Some interesting and colourful badges but nothing to match mine. Thanks again. Regards.
