Scorpion - Indian Special Forces - Arm Qualification Badge Post 47

Can anyone tell me anything more about the badge listed in the title usually found in cast brass with two lugs?

I had always assumed it was a badge for passing a "LRDG style" desert warfare course, but happy to be corrected

Tel recently sold an example. Only the second example I have ever seen.
