What are the dimensions?
The obverse of a coin doesn't tell us what the coin is.

Looks like a collar. I have a cap with the double plates, same as this. Wouldn't say it's common, but it is a sign of a good badge.

Hmmm. Cap badge is about 55 mm x 54 mm. Collars should be about 33 mm x 33 mm. Didn't accidentally clip 10 mm off those measurements did you?

Default RCMP Badge

Julian

The badge is a nice badge and it is not uncommon to have the double plates on the back. I have a number of them in my collection. It interesting part is the dimensions you have given for it. The collars should be 33 mm across by 34 mm top to bottom. The Cap badges are 50 mm across and 52 mm from top to bottom
