Default A couple of Desert Rats patches

Got these last year. Not a marching pair but both look aged and were previously worn. I’m guessing these are from the post war period?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! As always, when posting anything for appraisal, the reverse must be shown to accurately determine originality and period.

Another Desert Rat patch (printed). From the early 1990’s.

Any idea why some patches would be printed rather than embroidered?

Hi Sturm, I think you have shown the front image twice, they look the same to me. The rear views are puzzling, I haven't seen that construction before so could be some foreign manufacture made during the 7th's meanderings, best wishes Mike

Hi Sturm,
The printed badge is a repro for me. The 2 embroidered badges are not WW2 made and I am not confident they are original post WW2.
Best regards

The printed one was from ‘Nicholas Morogi’. I assumed it was a genuine printed variant; similar to ones worn in the 1st Gulf War.

The embroidered ones were from ‘Bob Simms Miltaria’. I asked him whether they were from the 1950/60’s. He had no idea.
