Default DZ Flashes

Hi All,
Have recently acquired a comprehensive collection of DZ flashes. One lot has caused me a little concern and it's the 1st Patt, 16th (Lincoln) Ind Coy. I am wondering which way the gun faces (forwards or backwards) when worn as a DZ flash, this is the single flash pictured.
I also have a facing pair (obviously not used as DZ flashes, but wondered if these were Formation Signs?) All badges are genuine so no worries in that respect.
Help!!!
Regards, Paul
Just so all are aware, I am a dealer and will be putting these in my shop for sale in the next few weeks.

Was a medic attached to them when they where in Nottingham in the naughties. They wore the 16 det DZ patch at the back ,under the collar of their para smocks.

16 Company wore the armoured car DZ flash when they first came into existence in the 1950s, and later the arrowhead design, on both arms of the Denison smock. The armoured cars were worn in facing pairs, gun to the front. It was only with the introduction of the DPM para smock in the late 1970s that the DZ flash, by then the arrowhead, was worn on the right arm only. 16 Coy lost their independence when they became part of 15 (Scottish) PARA in 1977 and then 4 PARA in 1984. Their arrowhead DZ patch was worn, in a smaller merrow edge version on the left arm when they were part of 4 PARA in the 1990s. The company disappeared when 4 PARA was reorganised and became the only remaining TA Para Bn in the 2000s and this is when their DZ would have been worn in the covert style on the back of the collar by former members (in the same way as Pegasus was worn when the 16AA ‘budgie’ replaced it at about the same time).
