Default WALES GLENGARRY'S - MY TOP 10

Afternoon all.

Continuing with my top 10 badges/glengarry's (what's yours)

Enjoy.

Jonathan

1,2,3. Easily the best glengarry ever (in my opinion) we have the Royal Anglesey Light Infantry in brass (No 1) blackened brass (No 2) and silver (No 3) with a druids head and not the head of St David as sometimes mentioned.
4. Royal Montgomery Rifles.
5. 1st Admin Batt Denbighshire Rifles
6. Brecknockshire RV
7. 1st Glamorgan R.V
8. 3rd Glamorgan R.V
9. 5th Glamorgan R.V
10. 10th Glamorgan R.V.

Splendid badges. I’m in agreement about the Anglesey, one of my all time favourites.

Would you be able to post a picture where the top of the Anglesey glengarry’s isn’t cut off please? I would also appreciate a picture of the backs if possible.

Could you confirm is the silver badge HMS, SP or WM?

Allow me two question.

Is the badge of the 1st Glamorganshire RVC of the pre-1880 unit, or of the post 1880 consolidated unit (untill they became 2nd (Glamorgan) VB, The Welsh Regiment in 1887).

Almost the same question for the 3rd Glamorganshire RVC, but these already consolidated in 1862. As far as I know it had a POW feathers with scroll 3RD GLAMORGAN R.V. Was the badge shown used before the POW feathers one and when yes what are the usage dates?
