Merchant Navy brass badges
These came with some other items recently, one has the remains of lugs or wires? the other no visible way of fitting.
Are they cheap devices which come with a white topped hat worn by Gin Palace drivers or are they something more official hinted at by the presence of the buttons? Rob PS I don't think they will fit in my collection so I will probably dispose of them.

They are the top crowns removed from MN padded bullion, cap badges. Some are held on by the wires, some are stitched.
